Kelso Races


Pony trekking and equine events including Kelso Races where there are typically 14 fixtures throughout May to October the Kelso Races season. Many of the meetings are aimed at specific groups like Family Funday for the whole family, the Scottish Borders National and Ladies Day. For the more serious enthusiasts the Cheltenham Trials Day and Premier Hurdle Day fixtures draw high quality trainers, horses and riders.

Kelso Golf Club


Attractive parkland course situated 3 miles from the Championship Roxburghe course. Kelso is well known for the fine condition of its greens and fairways. The original course was designed by Ben Sayers then re-designed by James Braid in 1930. The now mature 18 hole layout was opened in 1980.

Fly Fishing


Go Fly Fishing on the River Blackadder and rivers and reservoirs close by. Fly fishing is free within the boundaries of the Holiday Park or for the eight miles of River out with the Park we are most happy to sell Day and season permits on behalf of Greenlaw Angling Club. Beyond this There is a wide and varied choice of some excellent salmon and trout fishing in the Borders with the River Tweed being renowned worldwide for its salmon fishing particularly in the autumn when there is usually a prolific run of large salmon. The salmon fishing season on the Tweed is one of the longest in Scotland, running from the 1st of February right through until the 30th of November. The 120 acres Watch reservoir has Boat and Bank Fishing for Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout, with a Fishing lodge, tea room and toilets with tackle and tuition available
