Nestled in the village of Greenlaw, newly acquired by Blackadder Caravan Park, The Blackadder Pub and Restaurant is due to open in April 2017. Serving full plate contemporary British cuisine consistently to high standards.
Now recruiting a Bar Manager, Minimum 5 years experience
The ideal candidate will be positive in attitude full of energy and new ideas, to be organised and calm and must have three years minimum direct experience.
Deliver superior customer service – ensure absolute customer satisfaction.
To plan and roll out exciting programmes and events, liaising with the kitchen for high standards of service delivery.
Working closely with the marketing team at head office to promote the venue and all events on a daily basis. Successfully promoting the brand – via social media, word of mouth. Building good relationships to encourage returning customers.
Managing, training and motivating your staff – managing rotas for shifts. Making sure staff can operate effectively with systems in place to help them provide consistent customer service.
Maintaining the condition of beer and wine – Enforce and offer the best quality of products possible. Making sure the cellar, lines and pumps are in good clean working condition. Checking dates of produce etc.
Taking regular stock-takes and ordering as necessary – keeping a well-stocked bar, control costs and cut waste.
Handling deliveries – receiving and monitoring deliveries. Noting any short falls.
Adhering to budgets, increasing profits – monitoring spending to stay within budgets. Delivering ideas & events that add value.
Enforcing health and safety rules – Monitoring safe working practices, keeping the premises safe for staff and patrons.
Salary: Commensurate with experience, 5.6 weeks holiday and a pension plan
